Connect Over The PSWN for Positive Train Control

The largest unfunded Government Mandate ever imposed upon the (AAR) Association of American Railroads (Deadline: December 31, 2015) calls for Positive Train Control.

Positive Train Control was conceptualized over 20 years ago by government to help control trains remotely, helping keep them safer, and their goods secure.

Only until a crash between a Metrolink train and a Union Pacific train in Chatsworth, California on September 12, 2008 was PTC ushered through Congress.

President George W. Bush signed the 315-page Rail Safety Improvement Act of 2008 shortly after, mandating that (in part) Class 1 Railroads must have a PTC system in place by December 2015.
